Better LATE than pregnant!

I'm known for things like my long-established love connection with Jeremy Piven, saving the day with my knowledge of pop culture trivia, being a smart-ass (in the good way. Think of me as the smart-ass with a heart of gold!), and my adoration for funny men with foreign accents.

**Click HERE to find out what I'm not exactly PROUD of being known for. It's a good thing my family loves me anyway!**

...

"Hey hey, it's another giveaway" alert:
While you're clicking away, my sister is having a contest to give away 3 copies of her book, Remembering Ruby, which was published last year! She wrote it, and I designed the cover (and her matching blog header)! Click HERE for all of the exciting details!

Thanks for spreading the word! (and being timely about it! ROFL!)

BTW, if you ever get business cards, I think below your name it should really say that:

"Smart ass with a heart of gold"

LOL

Almost forgot...

Read this like Chandler from "Friends":

"Could there BE any more hotlinks in this post?"

You're SO welcome! I agree on the business card thing! As for the hotlinks, well, you know-- I like for my posts to have a little something for everyone!

BTW, did you notice how I labeled this particular post?

My friend Shelly is the same way. We (and she) call it Shelly time.

Smart assedness (yes, it is a word) is a very awesome quality! So say I!

Oh, and BTW, I moved to my own domain this weekend, so update your feed reader!

Will you be my publicist?

(I mean, I haven't written a book or anything, but...)

@KJ: I think it's GOOD to have someone in your life who can be counted on to be late. That's probably just because I'm usually the person who is late, though... and my charm in being a smart ass makes up for it. I think.

@CherryRide: Of course! I'll be your 'Smart ass publicist with a heart of gold'!

Melisa, after all of these years y'all have not learned to lie about the time?

My best friend has the annoying habit of ALWAYS being early. So I just lie and set times back for him. Works pretty good!

Rob: You'd think it'd be that easy, but it's not. We've tried telling saying an hour earlier, but I think we could say FIVE hours earlier and she'd still be late.

But yes, we still love her.

House of Jules said...

@Rob: Yes, they've tried that. Like she said, I'm never late when it's REQUIRED that I'm on time! And, I'm cuddly, just like the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, who was famously late but did everything in his power to hurry it up every single time!

@MelisaMySista: OK, now you're getting dramatic! I've NEVER been 5 hours late! GOOD DAY, SIR!

I'm very excited about another contest. Could go 2 for 2! That is, if I can actually enter without sobbing all over my keyboard.

Melisa Wells said...

It is true, you are on time when it is required. (and you're cuddly too. God, you're so cute.)

LOL...I don't think I'm getting dramatic...I'm NEVER dramatic! ha ha...NOT! (I didn't say you have been 5 hours late; I said you would probably be if we tried that! Hee hee...big difference!)

I can see you right now, making that sign language thing we learned in NY: This is Bull*&$#! Ha Ha

Never fear, I'm done teasing you (for now) about your lateness...special post coming later this week!

So I bet this really plays hell when you have a plane flight eh?

Angela Williams Duea said...

Ow, that's a painful thing to be known for! I know the feeling, because I'm always accused of being late. My family will even tell me the wrong time just so I'll get there on time.

As I check your twitter updates, I think I have determined the reason you were late. Does it really only take 6 steps? Are any of them, "Plug in Dyson?"

House of Jules said...

@Alex: Yes, absolutely go for it! Just sob quietly at your desk so nobody worries about you!

@Spammon: When I HAVE to be on time, like for a flight, I'm on time. Actually, I'm always WAY early when I fly anywhere, but that's usually because I'm excited to get out of dodge.

@Angela: Thanks for feeling my pain!

@Stacey: That whole article was total crap! Tiny pillows? Law & Order? Who has these kinds of problems in their bedroom... I do not. My bedroom is already sexy, I just wanted to read the article because I was interested to see what the 6 steps were, and OBVIOUSLY it was B.S. because there wasn't any mention of our beloved Dyson! :)

Oh, I'm always late too. We can be late together!

(AND ... I was also like, OMG! BRET MICHAELS WITHOUT A BANDANA! I like it better on :) )

Melisa, you should know that your sister told me to have a great trip today, a full week before I leave. So, it's true. Miracles can happen, but we should all be prepared. Julie was early which means hell is probably freezing over as we speak.

Melisa Wells said...

Stacey! LOL
HOWEVER, I think that her THOUGHTFULNESS and CARING microchip overrode the LATE one today.

And I am dying to know about her most recent twitter update: "Wait a minute, that's not gum!" eew.

Have a good trip! Ha ha ha ha
