That's the last time THESE two party together!

I have a hunch that just before the injury, Ms. Temple was heard yelling, "Lindsay, stop ordering me around... and put down that claw-cracker! How many times do I have to say I'M NOT A LOBSTER, you idiot!"

I always knew there was another meaning to "on the good ship lollipop".

Shirley is hardcore like that. It's a sweet trip to the "candy shop" indeed.

@Taj: My alternate title for this post was, On the good ship, lolliPOPPERS", but I didn't know how many people would think that was funny. Besides you & me, that is. Shirley doesn't mess around!

If I break my arm when I'm 80 I hope it's from doing something wild and crazy and not just falling in my home.

My 88 year old grandmother recently broke her tailbone and it was just from sitting around on old bones. For real. I don't know what that has to do with your post.

HA!

It's funny but I can almost see it...

I wish they had pictures of this cat fight. I bet Shirley was putting on a good 'ole arse kicking until Lohan took her legs out from under her.

"Take a sweet trip to the candy shop of my FIST! BIATCH!!"

Ha ha ... OK, seriously, I go to People.com like five times a day.

And your Twitter! I expected SO MUCH MORE from Stephen Colletti's triumphant return! From the looks of it, so did Lauren ;)

@SaunteringSoul: I totally agree! (and sorry to hear about your grams!)

@DonMillsDiva: I can see it to, sadly. That's a reality show I'd definitely watch. Shirley would kick Lindsay's ass right into sobriety, me thinks.

@Spammon: I know, wouldn't that be great? Though it was only a catfight in my mind. I would LOVE to hear Shirley Temple call LL a biatch. That would make my life!!!

@Swishy: I call my People.com skulking "research" for my domination of the next World Series of Pop Culture. :) YESH, "The Hills" over the past 2 weeks has been almost LESS than I can stomach. Stephen isn't all THAT cute anymore (Brody is now the gold standard on that particular show for me), I'm sick of Lauren's hypocrisy, tired of Lo's immature digs at Justin-Bobby (if only because she just doesn't see how much it hurts Audrina's feelings), and Speidi can go jump off a cliff for all I care. Which leaves Stephanie and Audrina. Stephanie sucks and is a total jerk; and Audrina needs to stand up for herself every once in awhile. Also, while I'm ranting? Lauren needs to retire that sad Chanel bag from her EX-BOYFRIEND. It's pathetic. Will I watch next week? OF COURSE (which could be MORE pathetic than that stupid, boxy, grandmother-ish $1500 purse, but oh well). /rant.

Funny, I cover the Bay Area for PEOPLE, and they called me last week while I was out of town to cover some "breaking news." If I had known it involved Shirley Temple (she's still alive? for serious?), I would have hopped right on the next westbound plane!

@camel & chocolate: Wait, WHAT? You cover the Bay area for PEOPLE magazine? Best. Job. Ever. Wanna join our World Series of Pop Culture team? We're training for the next season.... !

Haha, I love that you're "training." You know, I always consider myself a wealth of knowledge in the pop culture field, and then I go to trivia night and get my ass handed to me on a plate! E.g. the last time I went, there was an entire round devoted solely to the Sopranos (I've interviewed the entire cast multiple times but never seen an ep!), and for every question, you had to answer you killed whom. I put Paulie Walnuts on all of them =) I think it's because while I'm pretty well versed in the past couple decades, mid-80s and before has me lost and you really have to know everything from the beginning of film through the present to do well on those sorts of things. When I used to work for EW, knowing more of the elite of pop culture was vital, but now that I'm at PEOPLE, as long as I can pick out Lindsay Lohan and the cast of the Hills in a crowd, I'm generally fine, haha =)

@Camels&Chocolate: For real, I read some of your blog last night and was cracking up at your Sarah Marshall coverage. I can hardly contain myself that you work for People and worked for EW. The training thing is just a cover I use as an excuse to have so much useless pop culture knowledge (like you mentioned) but I swear, I have a team formed and we're going to try out for VH1's World Series of Pop Culture next season. Sidenote: You & I are both from TN (Well, I'm not officially FROM there, but I did live in Knox from 3rd-9th grades)! Yay for southern bells living elsewhere!

Haha. That is AWESOME. I did my last year and a half at UT in Knoxville; I really love it there. And I love me some Southerners, too -- the nicest kind! As much as I adore living in California, I was a bit sad to leave Tennessee this afternoon...oh well, it will still be there the next time I return, I suppose! But it is quite funny to think that I grew up in the South (21 years there!) and now interviewing Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell et al is part of my "job".
